URAC is a private, non-profit group with more than 10 years experience creating high standards for health care companies. BlueCare was awarded URAC accreditation for compliance with Health Plan and Health Utilization Management.
Volunteer State Health Plan earned the Commendable Health Plan accreditation rating from the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) for 2012-2013.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations and manages the evolution of HEDIS®, the performance measurement tool used by more than 90 percent of the nation's health plans.
The NCQA accreditation process evaluates how well a health plan manages quality in all parts of its delivery system – doctors, hospitals, affiliated providers and administrative services – to continuously improve health care for its members. The NCQA program seal is a recognizable symbol of health care quality.
