  • You can find a doctor online. It’s easy to use Find A Doctor. But if you don’t find what you need, call us.
  • We’re right here, ready to help. Customer Service is here for you Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Eastern Time. Leave a message, and we’ll get back to you. There’s a lot of info available 24/7 on bluecare.bcbst.com.

How to Get Care Quickly

It’s good to know if your primary care provider (PCP) has evening or weekend hours. You can call them or ask us for help. Remember, we can make appointments for you.

When you’re not sure if you should go to the ER, urgent care or your PCP, you can talk it over with a trained nurse. Call our 24/7 Nurseline anytime at 1-800-262-2873.

Tips for Working with Your Doctor

  • Make a list of questions before the appointment
  • Take your medicines with you – including over-the-counter drugs, vitamins and herbs
  • Be on time
  • Be honest about your symptoms or problems
  • You have a right to ask questions and get detailed explanations.
  • If you (or your child) are prescribed medicine(s), ask what they’re for, what they should do for you and side effects that may occur.
  • Take notes and ask the doctor to write down directions for you.
  • Tell your doctor about other doctors you’ve seen – like specialists for asthma or skin problems etc.
