Whether you’re new or a long-time CoverKids member or parent, we’re glad you stopped by. We’ve gathered important details here, but we’re always happy to answer your questions. Give us a call or email us if you can’t find what you need.
CoverKids Member Services, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Eastern Time:
CoverKids provides free, comprehensive health services for eligible children age 18 and younger and for eligible pregnant women. It covers preventive health services, health care provider and hospital visits, vaccinations, well-child visits, developmental screening and mental health. Children also get vision and dental care. CoverKids has low co-pays for medical services. Well-child visits and immunizations are free.
Welcome to CoverKids. We’re looking forward to helping you get the most from your health plan. Here’s what you can expect in the coming weeks:
- Welcome kit with your member handbook, prescription booklet and a flyer about our care coordination services
- Member ID card to use for all of your care and services
- Personal phone call to answer questions you may have
Once your coverage begins, we’ll need you to take care of a few things:
- Complete and return your mini health appraisal. This will help us to understand your specific health needs.
- Register online at BlueAccess (top right). You’ll be able to print temporary cards, Find A Doctor in your network, get Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents, and view eligibility and claim status.
Your prescription drug coverage is called Express Scripts*. You’ll use the same Member ID card that you use for your other care. These benefits can be used only at drugstores in the CoverKids network. But it’s easy to find a pharmacy. You can login to BlueAccess or search Find-A Doctor. Your plan also offers mail order services. Find all of the details here.

Coverage for Your Newborn
Your baby will need his or her own health care coverage before leaving the hospital. So you’ll want to start the process as soon as possible after you give birth. Call 1-855-259-0701.
Take Your Mini Health Appraisal
New members, please tell us about your health needs, so we can provide the best care. Other members should fill this out once a year.
- CoverKids members 16 and older should fill out this form.
