How intermediate care facilities provide support
Intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID) providers offer 24-hour support in homes that maintain the physical, intellectual, social and emotional capabilities of members supported by the program. ICF/IIDs should provide active treatment through intensive specialized supports and services designed to develop increased skills and independence in functional life areas that prevent a member from living in a more independent setting.
